Carnival celebration in Miami 2023

Greater Miami and Miami Beach host one of the biggest celebrations of Hispanic culture every year: Carnaval Miami.

This fun and energetic festival brings together culture seekers from around the world as Miami comes alive with a celebration of Latino music, art, food, sports, and fashion.

Taking place from February 11 to April 8, 2023, Carnaval Miami promises fun for the whole family.

More than a festival, Carnaval Miami was created by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana to support the celebrating community.

Therefore, it comes from Carnaval Miami to benefit the Kiwanis of the Little Havana Foundation, which changes the lives of children by funding sports leagues, summer camps, school supplies, college scholarships, and offering family assistance.

Some of the events for this carnival

Lose Carnival Miami

This iconic event is more than just a beauty pageant – contestants are also judged on their talent, poise, and community involvement by a group of representatives from business, media, and civic organizations.

The Miss Carnaval Miami winner becomes the Goodwill Ambassador for Carnaval Miami, Kiwanis Club of Little Havana, and Kiwanis of Little Havana Base.

She also earns money for college scholarships and pays for entry to the Miss Florida USA pageant.

24th Annual Carnival on the Mile

March 4 & 5 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Carnival on the Mile is a weekend-long celebration of local art, music, great food, and entertainment along the Miracle Mile in Coral Gables.

Perfect for all ages, this event brings together the work of more than 150 artists, 50 artisan vendors, and an entire “Artists’ Village” with crafts, jewelry, painting, sculpture, and photography.

Dance down the street to live jazz, funk, and rock music, then make a reservation at one of Miracle Mile’s featured restaurants to recharge before doing it all again.

40th Annual Dominoes Tournament

March 6 – 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Even on any given day, Dominoes Park in Little Havana is a hotbed for some of the most competitive games out there. During Carnaval Miami’s annual Dominoes Tournament, that competition ramps up a bit.

Watch as dominoes enthusiasts from across the US come together to laugh, eat delicious Latin food, and engage in exciting games of their favorite pastime.

Companies can also participate by joining a team. When everything is over, there is an award ceremony.

40th Annual Golf Classic

March 9 at noon

Join Miami businessmen, avid golfers, and VIPs at the International Links Miami Melreese Golf Course as you compete in this annual golf tournament.

The public is welcome, and all proceeds from the golf classic benefit the Kiwanis Little Havana Foundation Scholarship Fund.

46th Annual Calle Ocho Music Festival
